In Motto, Sugiyama was seperated from the SOS Trio, due to a class change which happens every new school year in Japan. The new SOS trio replaced Sugiyama with Jun Sato, which hurt his feelings. As a result, he decided to form his own comedy group. He asked almost every single classmate if they would like to form a comedy group with him. Unfortunatelly, it seemed like nobody really wanted to accept his offer, until the one classmate he didn't ask stepped up and asked him if he could join his new comedy group.
