Premise[]
There's a thief at the summer festival, and the girls indirectly get involved after they meet Yuki-sensei's date and Doremi's tap goes missing!
Summary[]
At the Maho-do the girls are trying to work but they are too distracted with the festival slowly approaching. Oyajide quickly claims a cursed item will be there but they aren't falling for it, so they ignore him as he tries to convince them otherwise. To quiet him down, Hazuki promises to fetch him if something seems weird. With that the girls chat about their plans to sell magical goods at a booth and Doremi brings up an idea she had.
That night at the festival the girls reunite and she reveals her idea: she came up with a dart game their customers can play. The prizes are sorted by where their dart lands- even those who miss, so everyone leaves with a prize. Majorika compliments her idea while she and the fairies hide behind the game, when Pop reveals Doremi copied it from something.
The SOS Trio show up and the girls let them try the game, and they goof around, raising their classmates spirits. To spin the wheel they have their fairies doing it from behind-the-scenes. Tamaki shows up and decides to try it out to "help the girls by attracting attention", and she snags the #1 prize. Kotake decides to play as well, but his dart hits the peeking Majorika, so he gets a default prize. It's then Tamaki recalls a pick-pocket sighting earlier, and she begins to pick on the girls by claiming they wouldn't interest him. The girls ask Hazuki what spell she put on the Tamaki took, and they share a laugh. Kotake and the SOS Trio take off afterwards.
It's then Doremi spots a suspicious man walking by, and she gives chase until losing sight of him. She then finds something surprising: Yuki-sensei with an adult male she doesn't recognize. She observes them as a frustrated Seki-sensei joins them. She is very displeased because originally, she and Yuki didn't have dates set up, and Yuki never mentioned this man to her. She attempts to observe them while the girls leave Pop at the booth to watch over it while they follow. Her friends show up to visit and she asks them if they want to play- but everyone gets distracted after seeing "Plush-chan" nearby. Majorika desperately tries to hide.
The girls and Seki resume spying on Yuki and her male friend, eavesdropping on them until they stop for a snack to avoid suspicion. But when they happen to notice Yuki purse is open they decide to warn her about the pickpocket; only for someone to run into Doremi and Seki, knocking them down. Unknown to Doremi, her tap flies out of her pocket and is kicked outside of the festival grounds. Seki sees her wallet has been stolen and leaves to call the police, and Doremi panics upon noticing her tap is also missing.
The tap rolls down a nearby hill where a cute poodle is wandering around without her owner. Seeing the tap, she prods it with her paw before a pink light starts to shine on her.
Doremi sadly returns to an irate Majorika, who scolds her for being so careless while Lala wonders why a child would be a target for a thief. The girls have no idea though, but with Pop doing fine the girls decide to investigate. Hazuki and Aiko transform and give Doremi a ride on their brooms to fly above the festival area to look around.
Meanwhile, Yuki and her date discuss the pickpocket in a discrete manner. She is worried they may not catch him but the man compliments her by saying that nobody would pass by such a cute and innocent woman with her purse opened. Just then they spot the pickpocket at the same time as the girls, and unaware of Yuki and the man's plans Aiko casts magic to save Yuki's purse from being stolen. While time is frozen Doremi tries searching the pickpocket's person for h er tap, but she can't find it.
Time resumes and the man with Yuki accidentally handcuffs her instead of their target, who has managed to escape. He apologizes and resumes chasing after the guy while Yuki stays with the girls. Doremi asks who he is, but she suddenly screams before Yuki can tell them. Aiko and Hazuki look down to where Doremi's attention is to find the poodle wearing her witch uniform. She excuses herself to chase after it, following by Hazuki and Aiko. As this is going on, Mary -the dog- is being searched for by her owner.
Mary ducks into a set of pipes and Doremi attempts to give chase until the girls stop her, realizing she'd get stuck. They then point out that Doremi's tap wasn't stolen, it fell out of her pocket and Mary happened to find it. Hazuki uses magic to transform Doremi into a dog, and after thanking her, Doremi resumes the chase.
Seki has been talking to the police when someone suddenly shouts about the pickpocket. She and the police head towards the voice while Doremi tries to grab Mary and get her tap back. The woman who owns Mary calls out for her, and when Mary hears her, she picks up speed to find her owner and hops into the basket of her bike. But just then, in a desperate move to escape the pickpocket grabs the bike and uses it to get away from the police, causing Mary's owner -and Doremi- to resume panicking. Hazuki casts magic on her again, this time turning her into a horse that the man with Yuki decides to use, thinking she was a horse someone left there. Doremi is forced to run after the pickpocket.
Mary hears her owner again and hops out of the basket as the man riding the bike speeds down a path. The tap falls off of her as she jumps to the safety of her owners arms and the outfit vanishes. Doremi, still in horse form continues to chase the man until she sees her tap; but her sudden halt causes the man to fall off of her and she slides all the way down the hill, into a muddy patch of ground. In human form again, Doremi happily spits her tap out of her mouth and embraces it; now covered in dirt and scratches. She returns to the festival grounds, only to collide with Kotake as he slowly rides his skateboard. They fall to the ground and the pickpocket, desperate to escape accidentally steps on it and falls to the ground.
He is surrounded by everyone and the cops escort him away, and the man with Yuki finally introduces himself to the girls and Seki. Yamamoto is an undercover cop and the next-door neighbor of Yuki, so he asked for her help to lure the pickpocket out. Seki is flustered upon realizing she overreacted, and she teases him by asking if it was just an excuse to go out with with Yuki, causing them both to become flustered as everyone laughs.
Meanwhile, Majorika observes this and complains over how messed up the evening was.
The following day, all of the students as Misora Elementary are lined up for assembly. The vice-principal announces that Summer vacation is almost over and reminds students to finish their homework if they have yet to do so. They ask Kotake to come up to the podium in order to present him with an award for helping to stop the pickpocket. Everyone cheers, but humbled by this Kotake denies having actually done anything- along with Doremi, who is one of the only people not sharing the joy. But as she spots her charm that he picked at the festival, she wonders if it helped out before joining everyone else in cheering.
