Sachiko has short, curly brown hair and brown eyes with square framed glasses. She wears a blue skirt and a pale green hoodie with matching tennis shoes.

Sachiko is very polite and reserved.
History[]
Sachiko moved with her family from Japan to New York City at the same time that Momoko and her family moved back to Japan. She befriended Beth, who asked Sachiko to teach her Japanese to help her stay in touch with Momoko. For Momoko's eleventh birthday, Beth and Sachiko prepared a video letter so Beth could show Momoko her progress on learning Japanese.

Momoko briefly travels back to New York City for a visit and meets Sachiko for the first time in Central Park. Sitting on a park bench, Momoko shares the brownies she made with Sachiko, Beth, and Mary, before all four girls head to play on the merry-go-round.

Becoming concerned about Beth who seemed sad on the phone the previous night, Momoko and her friends travel to New York City to investigate. Momoko learns that Beth has been overwhelmed with anxiety because she seems to have lost a special pendant that Sachiko's grandmother gave her during Thanksgiving. Sachiko joins Beth for lunch at school, wearing an identical pendant and asks Beth where hers is. Beth lies that she left it at home for safekeeping. Sachiko suggests Beth wear hers for the upcoming Christmas Party so they can match.
After school Beth softly cries to her teddy bear Collin (who was actually Momoko in disguise) about how terrible she feels for losing the pendant since it was made from Sachiko's grandmother's precious ring. Momoko whispers to Beth to go look for it, prompting Beth to do so which buys Momoko time to also look for it without revealing her presence to Beth.
Beth walks by Sachiko's house later and sees Sachiko inside watching her grandmother juggle with footbags.
Momoko and her friends retrieve the pendant and return it to Beth's bedroom unnoticed. Beth then finds the pendant that evening and feels relief, as she goes to the Christmas party with Sachiko wearing matching pendants.

- Sachiko shares her first name with another character in the series; Sachiko Ijuuin. Her surname is not revealed.
