Born in Japan, Momoko left the country when she was young due to her parents' job. Until Momoko has been living in New York recently, and because of this, she has forgotten most of her Japanese. Initially, Momoko kept to herself due to the language barrier, but with Doremi's friendship and assistance from the others, she quickly adjusted.

The tallest of the group, Momoko has fair skin and chartreuse yellow hair tied in looped held by lavender spherical pieces. She has thin, shoulder-length forelocks with her bangs brushed to the right, with a turquoise blue hair clip on the left corner. Her lime green eyes resembling that of the original trio, but lacking the pupil and having a white marking at the bottom right corners.

Her attire consists of a cropped orange T-shirt with a skirt that has yellow split on the right. Yellow suspender straps are attached to the waistband. She also wears short black socks and white sneakers with yellow shoelaces. Prior to Motto, Momoko was shown wearing cyan sneakers.

Initially, Momoko was withdrawn and shy due to the aforementioned language and cultural barriers. She struggled to adjust to the change the move brought upon her, but getting to know her reveals an energetic and lively personality. She shares these traits in common with Doremi, but she lacks her selfish side. She is usually calm in temperament unless her passion for something is triggered, and she loves to help others. She is also really smart and gets good grades. She enjoys studying, reading and learning new things.

At times she can be goofy though, and a little air-headed. She is also emotional, and she can be hard to calm down when she gets too wrapped up in things. She is well-meaning but she can be stubborn. Momoko can also act liberally and tries to get others to stay on friendly terms, she strongly supports peace among others and freedom.

Witch Apprentice[]

As a child, Momoko befriended a friendly witch who found her at the park trying to read an English children's book. The witch helped Momoko and invited her back to her bakery, where she would let her help out and taught Momoko various things. However, Momoko witnessed her returning home from the Witch World, and she called attention to this, causing her to transform into a Witch frog.

Although their friendship grew stronger, Majomonroe grew weaker due to an illness, eventually leaving her in bed. Momoko promised to work hard for her sake in order to make her better, but by the time she gained her Crystal Ball, Majomonroe passed away after giving Momoko a present she had been hanging on to. Shortly afterwards, Momoko tried to use her crystal ball to bring her back to life, but she lost consciousness when it shattered. The Witch Queen healed her and took away her Apprenticeship.

Sometime later, Majomonroe allowed Momoko the chance to rejoin the Apprentice ranks when she returned to Japan. Seeing that Momoko would be an asset to the girls and their new shop, she assigned her to join them.

Momoko's fairy is Nini and she has a chartreuse yellow three-leaf clover Crystal Ball.

While living in New York, she didn't know English at the time and had trouble making friends because of this. Upon befriending Majomonroe, who saw her struggling to read a book given to her, she helped her and invited her back to her bakery.

Due to this kind act, Momoko befriended Majomonroe very quickly. With Majomonroe's help, she quickly became fluent in English and gave her the courage to open up and befriend girls at her school. These included Beth, an African-American girl she still keeps in touch with, and a girl who resembles Tamaki named Mary.

Due to their similarities and Doremi being the only one in the group in her class, Momoko happily took to her and depended on her help. Although Doremi struggled to understand Momoko, she played a part in helping her to adjust and open to others.

Momoko accidentally made Hazuki cry after she corrected her at the shop one day, but after realizing she was unintentionally rude with her blunt opinions, she apologized and quickly befriended her. She does her best to encourage Hazuki. Both of them are easily scared and can often be found together. They even share a secret place.

Due to having similar beginning and being transfer students, Aiko helped Momoko understand how her blunt attitude can push others away. Usually they get along, but at times she expresses annoyance with Momoko's antics.

Initially, Momoko's pushiness caused Onpu to angrily storm off shortly after she upset Hazuki. However, they became close friends and can often be found together when she's not with Hazuki or Doremi. The two have a close bond and help each other, often having a way of showing up when the other is feeling troubled.

Originally, Momoko felt alone and hesitant around Hana-chan, and she wasn't considered fit to be one of her mothers. But once she patched up her mistakes, she began to dote on Hana and is very proud of her. In Dokkan, Momoko was initially disappointed after Hana aged herself up and changed the shop from their bakery to an accessory place, but she quickly got over it.

Momoko has little interaction with Pop, but like the other girls she admires her maturity.

Kotaro Okajima[]

Momoko was very eager to help Okajima receive more members for his failing family kendo training. She became quick friends with Okajima and admires his determination to go on no matter what obstacles face him, even giving him a kiss.

Momoko became very close to her as the only friend she had at the time of her move from Japan. She learned many things and admired her, dedicating herself to becoming a strong Apprentice to change her back to normal after discovering she was a Witch. Momoko was heartbroken over losing Majomonroe when she passed away, to the point of trying to perform forbidden magic to bring her back. Although she is still saddened by her death, remembering the good times they had together usually makes her feel grateful.
