Bio[]

Momoko was born in Japan, but at a young age she left the country due to her parents work. They moved to New York until recent, when they moved back to Japan. As a result of forgetting most of her Japanese, the language barrier caused Momoko to keep to herself. But with Doremi's friendship and assistance from the others, she quickly adjusted.

Appearance[]

Momoko is the tallest of the girls. She has fair skin and long chartreuse hair, normally worn in a pair of loops at the bottom of her head with lavender pieces. Her thin forelocks reach her shoulder and her bangs are brushed aside, held by a cyan clip. Her round lime eyes lack a pupil and have an additional shine to them. She wears an earring in her left ear, given to her by Majomonroe.

Momoko wears a cropped orange shirt with a white skirt that has a yellow corner split, paired with yellow suspender straps bound by cyan buttons. Her socks are black and she wears white sneakers with yellow shoelaces.

Prior to Motto, Momoko wore the same outfit but with cyan sneakers.

Personality[]

Initially, Momoko came off as being reserved, shy and withdrawn due to the language barrier making it hard for her to understand anyone. She was only able to communicate at first while transformed. She was also struggling to adjust to the move. But as Doremi and the others began reaching out to her, Momoko quickly reveals her bright and perky personality. Momoko is easily excited and very passionate, she enjoys helping others and is smart. She enjoys things like studying, reading and learning new things.

She can be a little goofy, to the point of eccentric some of the time. She is also emotional and can be hard to calm down if she gets too wrapped up in things. When really worked up, she's known for lapsing back into speaking in English. She usually means well but can be stubborn, and she tries to avoid dispute if she can help it. She prefers a liberal approach and will try to help others stay on friendly terms, strongly supporting the concept of peace among others and having a free will to do what one chooses or make their own decisions.

Witch Apprentice[]

Sometime after moving, Momoko was met by Majomonroe while attempting to read an English book. The friendly witch taught Momoko a new word in English and invited her back to her bakery, where she began to teach her many more things and would let her help around the shop. But one day, Momoko arrived in time to find Majomonroe returning from the witch world, resulting in her transformation into a Witch Frog.

Momoko felt so guilty, but their friendship grew from this moment; unfortunately, Majomonroe was sick and became weakened, eventually resulting in her having to be bedridden. Momoko promised to work hard for her sake in order to make her better, but by the time she gained her Crystal Ball, Majomonroe passed away after giving Momoko her final present. Shortly afterwards, Momoko tried to use her crystal ball to bring her back to life, but she lost consciousness when it shattered. The Witch Queen healed her and took away her Apprenticeship.

Momoko was given a chance to become an Apprentice once more following her move back to Japan, when the Witch Queen realized that she could be an asset to the girls as they ran their new shop.

Momoko's fairy is Nini and her Crystal Ball is shaped like a chartreuse three-leaf clover.

Background[]

While living in New York, she didn't know English at the time and had trouble making friends, but with Majomonroe's help she quickly became fluent in English. She gained enough courage to open up to other girls her age and befriended girls at her school. These included Beth, an African-American girl she still keeps in touch with, and a girl who resembles Tamaki named Mary.

Relationships[]

Doremi[]

Momoko quickly took to Doremi as the only one of their group in her class. Although Doremi struggled to understand Momoko, she played a part in helping her to adjust and open to others. They are both energetic and expressive, so they get along very well.

Hazuki[]

Momoko accidentally made Hazuki cry after being to blunt with her shortly after they met. But after realizing how unintentionally rude she came across, they were able to reconcile. She does her best to encourage Hazuki and can often be seen with her, they even share a secret place. Both of them are easily scared, so they lean on each other for support.

Aiko[]

Aiko was the one who helped Momoko get along with the girls following the incident. Because she is also blunt and had a rocky start when she transferred there, she was able to relate to Momoko in that regard. They usually get along, although she does become annoyed by Momoko's antics some of the time.

Onpu[]

Onpu was the other girl Momoko indirectly offended when they started working together, but following their reconciliation, Onpu quickly became her close friend. They help each other by offering their support and encouragement when they know the other girl needs someone to talk to.

Hana[]

Originally, Momoko felt alone and hesitant around Hana-chan as a result of having not known her as long as the others and having no experience with babies. She wasn't considered fit to be one of her mothers and accidentally made Hana sick, but she worked hard to rectify her mistake and from that moment, began to dote on Hana. She is very proud of her efforts and came to love her as much as the other girls. In Dokkan, Momoko was initially disappointed after Hana aged herself up and changed the shop from their bakery to an accessories store.

Pop[]

Momoko has little interaction with Pop, but like the other girls she admires her maturity.

Kotaro Okajima[]

Momoko was very eager to help Okajima receive more members for his failing family kendo training. She became quick friends with Okajima and admires his determination to go on no matter what obstacles face him, even giving him a kiss.

Majomonroe[]

Momoko became very close to her as the only friend she had at the time of her move from Japan. She learned many things and admired her, dedicating herself to becoming a strong Apprentice to change her back to normal after discovering she was a Witch. Momoko was heartbroken over losing Majomonroe when she passed away, and while she is still saddened by the loss of a good friend, she feels very grateful for everything she's done for her.
