Maki Takahashi is a shy upperclassman who has a crush on Igarashi, a member of the soccer team who Doremi had a crush at first. She makes another major appearance in "Doremi Fails as a Mom!?".

Bio[]

Maki assists the Soccer Team at the school. Having been his friend, she intended to confess her feelings to Igarashi if he could win the game they were preparing for.

Appearance[]

Somewhat older than the Ojamajo, Maki has light skin and short brown hair that frames her face, with a slightly longer loose strand sticking out on each side. Her forelocks overlap her bangs is adorned by a purple headband. She has brown eyes. Maki wears a pink shirt with light purple collar, pocket, and buttons. This is paired with a short milk blue skirt, pale pink socks, brown loafers.

Personality[]

Maki is a quiet and somewhat reserved girl who struggles to reveal her feelings. She is shown to be very nice while speaking to her younger friends, and cares a lot about the soccer team as well as Igarashi.

History[]

After practicing, Maki approached Igarashi, wished him luck and told him that if he won, she would reveal a secret to him. He promised to win and she happily leaves until later.

However, due to Doremi's meddling with her magic during the game, the team is doing badly. When Igarashi gets injured due to Doremi's careless mistake, Maki begins to panic and wishes to help him, breaking the pendant she had bought from Majorika as his injury before transferring to her. The female is much weaker and goes to the nurse's office that Doremi and Hazuki are also in. Once Igarashi reveals his feelings, he comes to see her when Maki reveals her own for him. The two exchange words as Doremi sadly gives up, with them unaware she is there. Later in the series, Maki occasionally comes back to Misora Elementary in order to assist with events.

  • Maki shares her first name with Maki Higuchi, albeit written in kanji.
  • By the time the series ended, she can be assumed to be around 15-16, the same age the girls are in Ojamajo Doremi 16.
  • Her name is a homage to the supervisor of the Bandai toyline, Maki Takahashi.
