Recap[]

While Aiko and Hazuki are tending to the Maho-do, Doremi and Majorika are moping. The nearby chest pops open to reveal Dela, who has come by to collect her payment for the month. Majorika tells her that they don't have enough, then points out that Doremi failed her exam. Dela is surprised to hear this, but she has great news. If they're willing to pay for it. Majorika agrees seeing as she has no choice, and Dela reveals that Motamota's birthday is coming up. To celebrate the occasion, a special make-up exam is being held for anyone who failed recently.

This perks up Doremi, but Majorika doesn't believe she can do it. Dela hands over some extra Magic Spheres and the girls run to the backyard to start practicing. They all worry when they realize she's not doing so well, but Doremi assures them that she will pass, no matter what. With that, they decide to close up shop early so that she can rest until that evening.

Later, Doremi transforms and prepares to go when Pop suddenly bursts into her room. She calms down realizing her sister is sleep-walking, and she has nothing to worry about after she leaves. Doremi heads to the shop to meet up with Majorika and Lala to head into the Witch World, unaware that Hazuki and Aiko followed after them because they were so worried for her. They left their fairies at home to take their place.

As Doremi and Majorika begin to bicker, they realize nobody is at the exam stand. Since Mota and Motamota's home is nearby they head over there, only to find out that MotaMota has gotten sick. They suggest that Doremi returns in one-hundred years for the exam. But as she is a human girl and this isn't doable, Majorika asks them if Doremi can do something else for the exam, like locating the herb Motamota needs to get better. They agree and give Doremi a map to guide her around the witch world while Majorika and Lala stay behind.

Doremi is about to head off when Hazuki and Aiko approaching her. They explain coming for moral support and she perks up, then explains what she is searching for. She hands over the guidebook and the girls make their way into the nearby town. Hunger quickly distracts the girls, and Hazuki worries they might just be wasting time. Aiko and Doremi reason that working on a full stomach would be more efficient, and Hazuki agrees after realizing she's hungry too. The girls stop by a ramen shop and are surprised to learn that Magic Spheres are the Witch World currency. The price is costly, and they worry over using them like this until the witch running the shop recognizes Doremi. She allows them to eat for free if she gives her an autograph. For the price of her dignity, the girls enjoy their meal.

Doremi isn't happy learning that her failure has made her notorious among the witches. Besides ramen, the girls also indulge in takoyaki and stop by a cake cafe. By now they are very full, so they resume their search after asking the shop owner where the Meadows are. She points it out to them and the girls rush off after realizing how much time they spent eating. They locate the meadow full of broom-like trees. Doremi considers taking one so that they can use it but the witch who watches over the meadow stops her. She refuses to let them pass, unless they can answer her riddle: "Thin in day, thick at night, disappears when it sleeps, what is it?"

Doremi manages to solve it, the answer being a Cat Eye. They continue on their way and come across a very small door, so they cast magic to shrink themselves and enter it. Their surroundings are dark, and they are nearly run over by some giant rodents. The girls manage to get outside and return to their normal size, and then they spot the herb they were looking for. Doremi attempts to pick the Sneeze Grass when it hops up and runs away. Doremi chases after it until realizing that it would be nearly impossible to grab it, so she makes a lasso with some grass and quickly wrangles it in. She earns praise from her friends and the girls are about to rush back- just to realize that the meadow was located right behind Mota and MotaMota's house.

The girls hide nearby when Doremi returns inside, and they are surprised that it took her so long to get it. She admits that it didn't occur for her to check before she took off. Because she was able to get back in time, Doremi is given a pass for the exam. She cheers and in the process, Hazuki and Aiko accidentally reveal themselves in all of the excitement.

Everyone returns back to the Maho-Do to celebrate Doremi's victory with a little party. Majorika scolds her for having put everyone through this ordeal in the first place, but they pay her little mind while Doremi's cute little fairy floats around. But when she collides with a nearby wall, they remark on how alike she is with Doremi; causing her to complain before everyone starts laughing.
