Baya (real name: Koyuki Ichikawa) is the elderly maid working with the Fujiwara family.
Bio[]
Baya has raised Reiko since she was a child, and is seen as a grandmother to Hazuki despite not being related to them directly. She also has a few violent tendencies and can easily intimidate anyone with her surprising greetings. If something bad happens, Baya will bust out a giant ninja stick and go into battle. Because Baya loves to dance, she is also seen when Hazuki is doing her ballet lesson.
Personality[]
A kind and thoughtful woman, Baya helps out the family when they are troubled or need advice. Baya greets them and says goodbye before she goes to do her house task. She cares deeply for happiness and often gives advice, such as when Baya taught her to crack eggs the right way, or told Hazuki about the doll Reiko use to own.
Baya was also known to be naive when she was younger. Just a cute, careless and innocent girl who liked music.
Appearance[]
Baya has fair skin with gray hair in bun and green eyes. Her outfit consists of a simple green kimono with purple obi, white socks, and green kimono sandals. As a child, she had dark olive green hair in low pigtail braids covered by a hat.
Relationships[]
Baya had a close friend named Atsuhiko who first met her when he offered assistance after her bicycle crashed. They often went to the ballet shows together once Baya mentioned how much she liked to watch the class. Upon being enlisted in military, he never returned. She assumes Atsuhiko is dead, met someone else, or forgot about her. Baya keeps the old dance disc she used to have in a special place due to this and never discussed her past until Ojamajo Doremi Na-i-sho.
Trivia[]
- It is unknown if she tried to become a ballerina or not, as she probably got into working after realizing Atsuhiko wasn't coming back.
